Frequently Asked Questions
How can Windsor Jewelers, Inc. pay the highest price in the industry?
Our team of buyers each has 10 – 30 years of experience and knowledge in fine jewelry, diamonds and gemology. Windsor Jewelers has a large national and international clientele with a huge appetite for jewelry. Every day, top retailers, collectors and dealers visit our headquarters to buy jewelry. Our need to continually supply these clients means we are able to offer the highest prices.
How will I be paid?
We offer immediate payment via check or wire transfer.
How long does the process of selling my jewelry take?
In-person transactions are finalized on the spot and payment is made immediately. We guarantee a simple process at the quickest rate. Mail-in transactions can vary depending on your location and number of units to assess. If you are shipping your jewelry to our office, the valuation process can take up to 48 hours. We will then contact you directly with an offer.
Do I need a GIA certificate to sell my jewelry?
No, you do not need a GIA certificate to sell your jewelry. Our in house gemologists have the expertise to evaluate diamonds with the same standards and grading techniques as GIA. However, we do encourage you to bring any type of documentation or packaging that came with the item at the time of purchase.
Will Windsor Jewelers make offers on cultured pearl pieces?
Unfortunately, no. At this time Windsor Jewelers will not make offers on cultured pearls.
How do I know if your shipping is safe to send jewelry?
We understand the sensitivity that comes with shipping high-value jewelry. We guarantee only insured shipping services to secure the value of your jewelry. If you wish for us to return your jewelry, we ship from Monday to Thursday to guarantee overnight weekday delivery and availability to contact our office if needed.
If I do not agree with your offer, what are my options?
We do our best to offer the fairest estimate on market value. However, if you do not agree with our offer you are not obligated to sell your jewelry. If you wish to sell more than one item you are not compelled to sell your entire selection. We understand and respect that the jewelry you may wish to sell holds sentimental value, and you will always be welcome to visit our office in the future when you are ready to sell.
What jewelry brands do you buy?
Windsor purchases jewelry by renowned brands such as Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Tiffany & Co., David Webb, Harry Winston, Boucheron, Verdura, Buccellatti, Bulgari, Suzanne Belperron, Schlumberger, Mauboussin, and many more. Windsor also purchases non-branded fine jewelry.
Do you only buy branded jewelry?
We only buy fine jewelry, however, fine jewelry is not always signed. Values are usually greater when a maker can be identified, and we know how to find hidden signatures many might not spot. We buy all fine gold, diamond, and gemstone jewelry and watches.
Is there an obligation to accept Windsor's offer?
There is no obligation and no pressure to accept our offer. Our buyers write down offers for your consideration. Should you accept, you will receive a check immediately.
When will I receive payment?
As soon as you accept an offer for the jewelry you wish to sell, a check will be issued to you on the spot.
